The client was using large quantities of hot water and asked us to reduce costs by implementing an effective solution. They also needed to meet Legionella Control standards.

During their daily production schedule, the client needed to have a constant supply of hot water to keep the food production area clean. This in turn led to large gas bills.

We surveyed the existing system and made recommendations, which were implemented.

A powerful direct fired water heater was installed. This meant water no longer required to be constantly re-heated, instead water was heated on demand, ended up at the point of use at the correct temperature as required, and wasn’t stored for long periods.

Not only have the gas bills been reduced but the client has confidence that the water is unlikely to harbour Legionella.
